Photo Walks in London: Slow Down, Look Around, and Connect
A monthly photo walk for curious, kind, creative people who want to use photography to pay attention.

When did you last stop and really look at what's around you?
To actually notice the small things — the texture of a wall, the way someone’s arranged their windowsill, or a face that tells a whole story
That’s what these photo walks are about. They are not about becoming a professional photographer or capturing the “perfect shot.” They are about paying attention, and seeing the world a little differently – camera in hand and good company nearby.

It’s a space to explore, connect with yourself, and meet like-minded people who also want to slow down and try something different. It’s relaxed and shaped by the people who show up
All levels of photography experience are welcome and you don’t need a professional camera to take part. Bring your phone, your SLR, an old film camera – whatever you enjoy making photographs with. The camera is just a tool for paying attention. The seeing is the point.
Walks take place once a month across SE and Central London — locations vary, so each walk is a chance to see somewhere familiar with fresh eyes, or somewhere new altogether.

This will be the first official photo walk I organise – so I hope to put your rave review here :)
Pay What You Can
I want these photo walks to be a place where everyone is welcome, so I also want to make them affordable for you. I have therefore chosen to make these photowalks on a pay-what-you-can basis, and you can give between £0 and £30. I want you to choose what you’re comfortable with (and choosing to come for free is truly okay too). I will donate 10% of the proceeds from these walks to planting trees in the UK via Ecologi.

Who is this for?
This isn't for you if:

Saskia really puts you at ease and leaves you feeling more confident and inspired in using your camera.
Ready to Book?
The next photowalk is on Thursday May 21st 2026 at 11am, from London Bridge (10A Borough High St, London SE1 9SF) to the Tate Modern. When you book, choose the amount you’re most comfortable with. There are only 15 places available to keep the group size manageable.

FAQs
Going to an event can bring up questions. Here are a few I’m often asked.
What should I bring to the photo walk?
- Comfortable clothing and shoes — we’ll be walking.
- Your camera or phone, fully charged.
- A snack and water.
- An open mind
What camera do I need?
Any camera you enjoy using. Phone cameras are completely fine. SLRs, mirrorless, an old film camera — as long as you can take a picture with it.
Do I need photography experience?
Not at all. These walks are for all levels. Even if you’ve never thought about photography before, that’s a perfectly good place to start.
Will I have to share my photos?
No. At the end of the walk, there’s space to share what you made if you’d like to — but it’s entirely optional.
Will it go ahead if the weather is bad?
Yes, unless it’s raining. Photography in very sunny, grey or overcast light can all be genuinely beautiful. Dress for the weather and come ready to explore. If anything changes, you’ll hear from me in advance.
What happens if I can’t make it?
If you’ve made a payment, this is non-refundable, but your spot isn’t lost. You’re welcome to pass it on to someone else or come along on a future walk instead. If you can’t make it, or if someone is coming in your place, please do let me know so I have an idea of how many people to expect.
If you have a question that isn’t answered here, feel free to get in touch — I’m always happy to chat things through.
