Sometimes you need a few good photos of yourself.

Nothing over-produced. Nothing stiff. But photos with some personality.

My mini headshot sessions are short, affordable portrait sessions designed for people who want to show up online with images that feel honest, warm, and like them.

Perfect if you:

  • need a new LinkedIn profile photo
  • want a small refresh for your website or social media
  • are a solopreneur, creative, coach or maker, or people starting something new
  • don’t want (or need) a full branding shoot
  • anyone who’s been putting off having their pictures taken because it feels uncomfortable
  • anyone who wants to have a short and simple photo session before doing a bigger one.
Brilliant – from start to finish I knew I was in safe hands. The process was easy, fun and importantly – produced images that I’m so happy with. Saskia takes a lot of time and effort to understand her clients so that the images reflect their personality perfectly.

What these sessions are (and aren’t)

Close up natural headshot — honest portrait photography South-East London

They are:

quick and thoughtful
relaxed and fun
focused on connection rather than perfection
great for one clear purpose (LinkedIn, website, press, socials)

They’re not:

a full personal branding shoot
the right fit if you want lots of variety or different setups
they’re not designed for multiple locations or outfit changes

If you’re unsure which option suits you best, you can always ask — I’m happy to help you decide.

A fun upbeat experience. From a caring, talented photographer.

How it Works

1. Booking a Session

You book a time slot and make a payment. A contract will be send to your email for you to sign.

2. Arriving at the Session

You arrive (nervous, excited, shy, loud is all completely fine – I want to photograph the real you, so come as you are!) We take a breath, chat for a moment, and you can share your thoughts and ideas for the session.

3. The Mini Session

I guide you without overposing – making you feel relaxed by having a good time together. You leave knowing it was easier than expected.

4. After the Session

After your session, you’ll receive a small (with 10+images) online edited gallery where you can choose your three favourite images. If you end up loving more than three, you’ll have the option to purchase additional images — completely optional, no pressure.

Most people are surprised by how much we can do in 20 minutes, especially when there’s no pressure to be anything other than yourself.

Hi, I’m Saskia, Your Headshot Photographer

I’m a photographer and filmmaker based in South-East London, working with creatives, solopreneurs, parents, and charities who want photos that feel honest and human.

I don’t believe in stiff poses or pretending to be someone you’re not. Instead, I focus on creating a relaxed, respectful space where you can show up as yourself. We’ll chat, take things slowly, and I’ll guide you gently, without over-directing.

FAQs

Booking a photographer or filmmaker can bring up questions. Here are a few I’m often asked.

  • Where do the sessions take place?

Mini sessions take place at The Working Mums Club (Address – Deptford).

  • I’m nervous about being photographed — is this still for me?

Yes. 20 minutes isn’t long, but I will help you feel comfortable by chatting about things you love, I’ll guide you if you are feeling unsure, and we keep things simple.

  • Do I need to have a plan before the session?

You don’t need a full plan — but having a clear purpose really helps these sessions work at their best.

Because mini sessions are short, they’re ideal when you have a rough idea of what you want the photos for. For example:

    • a new LinkedIn profile photo
    • a simple website portrait
    • a couple of images of you working on your laptop
    • a relaxed portrait for press or socials

That said, you don’t need to have everything figured out. If your starting point is something like “I need a new LinkedIn photo” or “I want to show up online more”, that’s more than enough.

You’re very welcome to bring an idea, a prop, or simply tell me how you’d like to use the images. We’ll talk it through at the start, choose a simple direction together, and keep things focused so we can make the most of the time.

If you’re hoping for lots of variety or want to explore multiple ideas, a longer session might be a better fit — and I’m always happy to help you decide what works best for you

  • Is 20 minutes really enough?

It is. Because the session is focused and intentional, we can get strong, natural portraits quickly. Most people settle in within the first few minutes.

  • What should I wear?

Wear something that feels like you. Simple clothing that makes you feel good about yourself usually works best. If you want some more tips you can read this blog post of mine. You’re welcome to bring accessories or props. Like a notebook, laptop, tool you use for work, etc — anything meaningful to your work or personality. To get some more prop ideas you can check this blog post:

  • Can I change outfits or locations?

These sessions are designed to stay in one place and with one outfit to keep things calm and efficient. If you’re looking for more variety, a longer session would be a better fit.

  • What happens if I need to cancel?

If something unexpected comes up, please let me know as soon as possible. These mini headshot sessions are non-refundable, you can pass them on to someone else. Just let me know about any changes.

  • Can I buy extra images?

Yes, you’ll have the option to purchase additional images after viewing your gallery if you’d like.

If you have a question that isn’t answered here, feel free to get in touch — I’m always happy to chat things through.
