You Deserve Brand Photos That Feel Good to Get
Have you ever looked at a branding photographer’s website and thought, “This looks amazing, but I don’t think this process would work for me”?
Maybe you worry about sensory overwhelm in a busy location. Maybe not knowing exactly what’s going to happen makes you anxious. Maybe you’ve had experiences where you felt rushed, or touched without warning, or just uncomfortable. And so the idea of a branding shoot, something that’s supposed to feel empowering, starts to feel like too much.
I hear you. And I want you to know: my sessions are built around you, not the other way around.
Inclusion has always been at the heart of how I work. But recently, after my own neurodivergent diagnosis, I realised I wanted to say this out loud more clearly — because understanding myself better has made me more aware of just how much the ‘standard’ approach to photography can get in the way for some people. And that matters to me.

The Truth About “Standard” Photo Sessions
A lot of branding photography follows a fairly standard formula. Show up at a location, follow the photographer’s lead, pose here, move there, done in two hours.
And for some people, that works fine. But for a lot of people, neurodivergent or not, it doesn’t.
My approach has always been documentary and guided rather than posed and directed. My whole approach is built on connection and comfort, because the way you feel during your session will show up directly in your photos. Confidence, ease, and joy are visible. So is discomfort.
That’s why, for neurodivergent clients, I don’t just adapt my process – I build it around you from the very first conversation.

How I Support Neurodivergent Clients Through Every Step
Getting in Touch – Your Way
You can reach me by email, phone, or video call, whatever feels most comfortable. I do love a video or phone call, because it gives us a chance to actually talk: about your brand, your work, and about you. If neurodivergence shapes how you experience the world, I want to know that. It’s not a burden or an awkward conversation; it’s exactly the kind of thing that helps me do my job well.
This is the space to tell me about anything that might be relevant: sensitivity to noise or light, anxiety around the unknown, physical or movement considerations, nervousness about being in front of the camera, or anything else that matters to you. No two people are the same, and I won’t assume I already know what you need.

Planning the Session So You Know What to Expect
When we talk about where to shoot, we’re not only thinking. You can reach me by email, phone, or video call, whatever feels most comfortable. I do love a video or phone call, because it gives us a chance to actually talk: about your brand, your work, and about you. No two people are the same, and I won’t assume I already know what you need.
If having a clear plan helps you feel more grounded, I can put one together for you in writing. A schedule, a breakdown of what happens when – whatever makes it easier to feel prepared.

At Your Brand Photography Session
You’re welcome to bring someone with you, a partner, a friend, a family member, whoever makes you feel more at ease. This is genuinely fine, and often really helpful, both emotionally and practically.
I don’t touch clients unless it’s necessary, and I will always ask before I do. If I want to move your hair or adjust something, I’ll check with you first. And if anything I do makes you uncomfortable at any point, please tell me. I mean that. I’d far rather know than have you feel awkward and not say anything.
I check in throughout the session, and I work at a pace that feels manageable for you. We can also build in breaks whenever you need them, to recharge, reset, or just take a breath. There’s no pressure to push through.
I’m not looking for perfect poses. I’m looking for the real, unguarded moments in between. The ones where you’re not thinking about the camera at all. Those are always the best ones.

After Your Brand Photography Session
Once we’re done, I’ll keep you informed about what’s happening and when to expect your images. My usual editing timeline is around three weeks, and I’ll let you know if anything changes. No unexpected silences, no wondering what’s going on.

Why This Matters
Brand photography is about being seen – as yourself, at your most authentic and capable. That should be available to every entrepreneur, including those who are neurodivergent.
You don’t need to push through discomfort to get great photos. You don’t need to mask or perform. The best images I make come from people who feel genuinely at ease. That’s what I’m working towards with every client, and it’s something I take seriously.
Your brand story deserves to be told. And you deserve a photographer who will take the time to understand how to tell it in a way that works for you.
